Part Time Child Care Worker

About the role

We are seeking ministry‑minded individuals to join our After School team. The Part Time Child Care Worker fosters youth development in an after‑school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. As a Christian ministry, Mentoring Alliance exists to mobilize godly people into the lives of kids and families, providing tangible help and eternal hope. The position is non‑exempt, part‑time, averaging 17‑20 hours per week, and is considered first and foremost a Minister of the Gospel.

Responsibilities

• Foster youth development in an after‑school setting
• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities
• Serve as a role model and Minister of the Gospel to children and families
• Influence, impact, and serve kids and families in the community

Requirements

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
• Minimum age 17 years; High School Diploma or GED preferred; some post‑secondary training highly preferred
• Passion and love for working with elementary school‑aged children
• Experience working with elementary school‑aged children preferred
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
• Pass mandatory background/sex offender check
• Valid driver’s license or valid ID
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Dependable transportation
• Spanish‑speaking ability greatly valued

Schedule

Part‑time schedule averaging 17‑20 hours per week, with required availability Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
