We are seeking ministry-minded individuals to join our After School team. The primary role of the Part-Time Child Care Worker is fostering youth development in an after-school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. About the role

This is a non-exempt, part-time position averaging 17-20 hours per week. At Mentoring Alliance After School, we hire teachers, youth workers, teen workers, college students, mentors, and more to serve and develop kids in our programs. As a Christian ministry, we serve kids and students in our community by offering awesome after-school care and activities. Mentoring Alliance exists to mobilize godly people into the lives of kids and families, providing tangible help and eternal hope.

Our team members must have the desire to influence, impact, and serve the kids and families in our community. Each staff position is an integral part of our mission and vision, and we consider a Part-Time Child Care Worker to be first and foremost a Minister of the Gospel.

Schedule

  • Able to work Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year

Requirements

  • Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
  • Must be at least 17 years of age
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred; some post-secondary training highly preferred
  • Pass mandatory background/sex offender check
  • Valid driver’s license or valid ID
  • Legally allowed to work in the United States
  • Have dependable transportation
  • Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)

Qualifications

  • Passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
  • Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
