Part Time Certified Medication Assistant

About the role

A Medication Assistant (MA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance in a senior care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Administer prescribed medications delegated by a licensed nurse within the scope of practice.
• Monitor and document residents' vital signs, behaviors, and care outcomes.
• Support psycho-social needs and encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities.
• Provide basic health care support, including hygiene, nutrition, and housekeeping tasks.
• Communicate changes in residents’ conditions or care concerns to the charge nurse.

Requirements

• Current CNA and CMA certification, with ongoing competency testing and continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually).
• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or long-term care experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required, depending on location.

Schedule

• Part-time with evening shifts.
• Every other weekend and holiday required, with additional night and weekend differentials.

Pay

• Competitive pay range of $19.50 - $28.00 per hour, including location and weekend differentials.
• $2,500 sign-on bonus.
