Certified Medication Aide - Part Time

Responsible for assisting residents with medications ordered by their appropriately licensed health care providers and as established in each resident’s individualized care plan. May provide medication reminders, assistance with self-administration of medications, and administration of medications as allowed by state and federal laws and applicable rules according to company policies and procedures. Key communicator with the resident’s pharmacy, healthcare provider, and family.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications as prescribed by licensed health care providers and outlined in individualized care plans.
• Provide medication reminders and support self-administration of medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Administer medications where permitted by law and company policies.
• Serve as a liaison between residents, pharmacies, healthcare providers, and families regarding medication management.
