About the role
Operates tender trucks following specified time schedules to and from company locations, customer locations, and terminals to achieve profitable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Operates all assigned vehicles (single, tandem, forklifts, etc.) in accordance with established safety standards and proper vehicle operation techniques.
- Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections, such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes.
- Follows the preventative maintenance program and maintains a clean truck to present a professional appearance.
- Follows all DOT regulations as required.
- Ensures that all deliveries and pickups are made in accordance with time schedules and performs duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism.
- Ensures that all associated documentation, such as bill of ladings, delivery slips, and invoices are completed accurately and returned to the branch location at the end of the day.
- Completes necessary paperwork, including accurate logbooks, records of cargo, and any other assigned record-keeping duties on a daily basis.
- Maintains company equipment according to company standards, adheres to the company Uniform Policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.
- Performs all other duties as assigned, including working at various other operational jobs during slow times.
- Must be physically able to climb in and out of semi-tractor multiple times daily, tender dry and liquid machines, pull and hook up hoses, and lift 51-70 lbs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of related work experience demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to safely operate tender truck equipment and meet company and DOT standards.
- Must have and maintain a Class B CDL license, valid medical card, and satisfactory driving record.
- Must successfully pass a background check, provide and authorize DOT Clearinghouse credentials, and pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and on-call as business conditions warrant.
- Essential abilities include business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
Working conditions may include exposure to extreme weather (hot, cold, wet), noisy conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards, and varying heights.

Pay
$19.00–$23.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. Certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
