Part-Time Cashier (Auburn)

About the role

Our retail store provides the fuel, the face, and the gateway to all the awesome services we provide for individuals, families, and organizations in the communities we serve. As a cashier, you are responsible for ensuring our customers have an amazing shopping experience by providing a welcome greeting, accurately processing cash register transactions, and actively soliciting "Round-Up" opportunities. You will be connected to something bigger than yourself, helping shape the community by supporting the most basic needs of life and enabling productive livelihoods.

You will be hired as a Retail Associate – Cashier but will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation. Full-time positions average 20–25 hours per week, with hours fluctuating based on business needs such as seasonal changes and donation volumes. Operating days will vary by store location, and you must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each guest receives outstanding customer service.
• Assist customers with purchases and pricing.
• Operate the cash register system and apply basic math skills, including addition and subtraction of money.
• Understand item pricing and the “color of the week.”
• Maintain sales floor and dressing room appearance by organizing shelves, putting away carts, and returning merchandise from the dressing room back to the sales floor.
• Ask customers to “Round-Up” totals in support of our mission and/or scholarship programs.
• Meet or exceed daily retail store goals.
• Work other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Prior experience working in a retail or customer service-related environment; preferred.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
