Cashier

Cub Shorewood is seeking a part-time Cashier to join their team! Cashiers assist customers, ensuring proper service levels and courtesy, perform product scanning and order processing, handle various forms of payment, and address customer inquiries.

• Assist customers and maintain positive service levels
• Perform product scanning and order processing accurately and efficiently
• Handle all forms of tender and coupons correctly
• Avoid and resolve voids, returns, and exchanges
• Answer customer questions and requests
• Participate in front-end maintenance and cleaning

Requirements

• Equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.)
• Able to stand for long periods
• Memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
• On-going customer interaction and prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Good judgment and ability to follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing
• Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be 16 years of age and older
• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, walking on uneven ground, reaching, bending, turning, and performing repetitive motions
