Part Time Cashier
Job Responsibilities
- Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates
- Perform product scanning and processing of customer order in an accurate, efficient and prompt manner
- Ensure properly handling of all forms of tender and coupons
- Absorb and resolve all voids, returns, refunds and exchanges
- Aid with customer questions or requests
- Aid with front end maintenance and cleaning
Job Requirements
- Equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.)
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Memorization, reading, writing and math
- The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
- Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing
- Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be 16 years of age and older
Physical Requirements
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Walking on uneven ground
- Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions
Schedule
Variably scheduled weekly shifts. Weekends required.
