Part Time Cashier

Cub Savage is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Part Time Cashier. This role focuses on following front-end checkout procedures, maintaining positive customer relations, and processing orders efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates.
• Perform product scanning and process customer orders accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
• Handle all forms of tender and coupons correctly.
• Manage voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges accurately.
• Assist with customer questions or requests.
• Maintain front-end cleanliness and organization.

Requirements

• Operate equipment such as scanners, registers, check approval machines, coupon machines, intercoms, calculators, etc.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Strong memorization, reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ongoing customer interaction with prompt, courteous, and accurate service.
• Good judgment, especially when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground.
• Reaching, bending, turning, and repetitive motions.

Schedule

• Evening availability is ideal.
• Weekend availability is required.

UNFI anticipates paying the referenced pay rate (or within the pay range) for this position. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, and requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
