Part Time Caregiver

About the role

ResCare Community Living, part of the Sevita family, has supported individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1974. We provide person‑centered services that help people build skills, overcome challenges, and live more independently at home and in the community. This position is based in Plano, TX.

Pay & Schedule

• Part‑time
• Schedule: Saturday – Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Pay rate: $9.00 per hour with opportunities for approved overtime

Responsibilities

• Help participants grow, learn, and live well through meaningful, person‑centered support
• Develop real relationships with the individuals you serve
• Take initiative to help participants engage in the community and enjoy their favorite activities
• Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living tasks
• Support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred)
• Current driver’s license with at least one year of driving history without restrictions
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
• Strong communication, adaptability, multi‑tasking, teamwork, and time‑management skills
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible demeanor
