Part-Time Bulk Clerk

About the role

Weavers Way is a not-for-profit, member-owned co-op operating on a triple bottom line philosophy—People, Planet, Profit. Every action we take aims to benefit our community, employees, local vendors, and the environment while sustaining our business. As a Grocery and Bulk Clerk at our Ambler location, you’ll help fulfill our mission by supporting over 300 local food vendors and strengthening the community. This is a part-time position with an anticipated 20-29 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Receive product deliveries, ensuring order and invoice accuracy.
• Stock, rotate, merchandise, and face product according to department procedure.
• Maintain back-stock areas according to department standards.
• Maintain inventory of perishable and non-perishable products as assigned.
• Assist other clerks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• Maintain a safe work environment according to all department procedures, federal, and state regulations.
• Wear protective clothing as required for the position.
• Understand and utilize safe lifting procedures and proper step stools.

Requirements

• A commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op.
• Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus.
• Great attention to detail.
• Good communication and people skills.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to remain standing for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours.
• Be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.

Pay

$16 per hour.
