Essential Functions
- Set up and maintenance of the Breakfast Bar in an attractive, abundant looking, organized, clean, and standardized presentation, maintaining brand standards at all times.
- Takes inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day.
- Aids in setting up prepared foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices.
- Sets up serving dishes, utensils, cups, and other products.
- Arranges cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal.
- Clears and cleans tables as they are vacated.
- Removes trash from service area.
- Restocks self-service food and supplies as needed.
- Washes serving equipment and returns to proper storage.
- Returns reusable food supplies to storage after service.
- Vacuums, sweeps carpets & floors.
- Mops floors.
- Dusts, brushes, polishes, and vacuums furniture.
- Dusts and cleans room decorations, appliances, & structural surfaces (e.g. wall fixtures, window sills, vents, etc.) using appropriate cleaners designated by immediate supervisor.
- Inspects areas for safety hazards.
- Checks operating conditions of equipment.
- Reports lost and found articles per hotel procedure.
- Reports maintenance problems (common areas) to the department supervisor and maintenance.
- Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor/manager.
- Performs special daily projects assigned by supervisor/manager.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understand, read, write, and speak English and effectively communicate with Team Members and Guests.
- Utilize and follow a checklist, take inventory of supplies, and convey information to staff and management.
- Comply in standardized situations with only occasional or no variation.
- Available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Work without constant supervision.
- Work well as a part of a team.
- Engage with all guests throughout breakfast period; respond to guest needs as required.
Physical Demands
- Standing and walking for entire length of shift.
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Qualification Standards
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Six months Customer Service, hotel, or restaurant experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
