Part-Time Bookkeeper
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, issue payments, and maintain accurate accounts payable records to support timely financial operations.
- Track customer billing activity, record incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to keep accounts receivable current.
- Prepare journal entries, manage accruals, and assist with month-end close activities to ensure complete and reliable financial reporting.
- Maintain financial records within QuickBooks Enterprise and review transactions for accuracy, consistency, and proper documentation.
- Support payroll administration and coordinate related recordkeeping to help ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule.
- Monitor inventory-related accounting activity and reconcile records to align operational and financial data.
- Provide office management and administrative support as needed to help maintain smooth day-to-day business operations.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience using QuickBooks Enterprise in a detail-focused setting.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and accrual-based accounting.
- Experience supporting month-end close processes and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and employee-related administrative documentation.
- Understanding of inventory accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage part-time responsibilities independently.
