Part-Time Board Operator
About the role
Townsquare Media Group is seeking a Part-Time Board Operator to support daily broadcast operations and live events. This role is ideal for someone with a flexible schedule who enjoys variety, fast-paced environments, and working in both the studio and community.
Responsibilities
- Operating control boards for in-studio and remote programming
- Regulating program timing, playing commercials, and running syndicated content
- Monitoring the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming
- Protecting the station’s license by following FCC guidelines and censoring prohibited content when necessary
- Processing time-out programming to ensure accurate playback
- Identifying and reporting technical issues to Engineering to maintain broadcast quality
- Screens incoming phone calls and selects callers for on-air talent and talk shows
- Handling emergency inserts such as breaking news, alerts, and system tests
- Aiding with basic administrative and operational tasks as needed
- Representing the station at on-site promotions, live remotes, and community events
- Setting up, operating, and breaking down audio and promotional equipment
- Recording live events through photos, video, audio, and social content for station promotions
- Transmitting and handling promotional materials and event equipment

Qualifications
- High School Diploma (required)
- College coursework or BA/BS degree (preferred)
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and vehicle (required)
