Part-time Biological/Life Science Instructor

About the role

Blackhawk Technical College is seeking adjunct instructors to assist and instruct Biology and/or Life Science Courses within the General Education Division. Instruction may occur at any of Blackhawk Technical College Campuses.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person courses at BTC campuses
• Maintain accurate student attendance and grade records
• Maintain an instructional environment emphasizing safety, housekeeping, and equipment security
• Ensure opportunities for student/participant evaluation
• Participate in instructional team activities including planning, development, scheduling, and budgeting
• Support students as a mentor and role model in achieving their learning and career goals

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Anatomy or Biology - Human Emphasis or a related field (e.g. Biomedical Engineering, Endocrinology)
• At least 18 graduate credits in the content area of anatomy or physiology
• Skill in communication and human relations with diverse populations
• Proficiency in computer use and applications supporting teaching and learning
• An educational philosophy prioritizing student learning in course design, delivery, and evaluation
