Part Time Beverage Server

Responsibilities

• Serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages along with food items as needed to guests throughout the property.
• Ensure a positive guest experience.
• Manage and direct the work of Beverage Servers in food and beverage outlets or banquet areas as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons, employees, and vendors in all situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including acting as a liaison for on and off-site events and/or promotions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one to two (1-2) years of high volume cocktail service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
• Knowledge of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage items.
• Obtain and maintain a TIPS certificate for responsible alcohol service and sales.
• Obtain and maintain an Indiana ATC (Alcohol & Tobacco Commission) Employee Permit License.
• Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide as needed for position responsibilities.
• Ability to balance cash drawer at the end of each shift.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Available to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required, including good close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Work in a smoking environment.
• Work in a highly populated, fast-paced, and noisy environment.
• Access to general gaming floor.
