Part Time Behavioral Health Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive behavioral support by implementing positive behavior strategies, de-escalation techniques, and individualized support plans to promote safety, engagement, and successful outcomes.
• Ensure all students have finished their assigned chores—including cleaning of the team home—and taken care of their personal hygiene.
• Demonstrate patience and calm demeanor under pressure.
• Maintain firm boundaries with students.
• Show empathy and compassion towards students.
• Form a bond with students based on trust.
• Mentor young adults in life skills to foster independent living.
• Promote a fun and positive atmosphere in our “Milieu” for social skill development.
• Collaborate with a team to facilitate students' healing process.
• Accompany students on outings and adventure therapy sessions.
• Engage in animal-assisted therapy to simulate foster/adoption experiences and promote healthy attachments.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum age requirement: 21 years.
• Prior experience working with young adults required, preferably in another mental health setting or in similar roles like camp/college/career counseling or Big Brother/Sister program.
• Able to pass State and Federal background checks.
• Able to pass physical and perform duties of the position.

$21.00 per hour

Schedule

Part-Time Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 6:30 AM - 1:30 PM, Wednesday 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM
