Part Time Bartender - Atrium Cafe & Bar

We operate over fifteen hotels and seven restaurants across Ocean City, Maryland; Virginia Beach; Corolla, North Carolina; and Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Responsibilities

• Receives orders from patrons and wait staff.
• Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic beverages.
• Ensures fruit and other garnishes are prepared before the bar's opening.
• Maintains the bar area, keeping it clean and organized.
• Attractively displays glasses and liquor bottles.
• Keeps the bar stocked with supplies.
• Verifies customer age by checking photo IDs to ensure legal drinking age.
• Collects payment from customers for drinks served.
• Uses judgment to refuse service to intoxicated or disruptive patrons when necessary.
• Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly or argumentative patrons.
• Ability to learn cash register software used in bars or restaurants.
• Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or related training required.
• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Prolonged periods of standing and preparing drinks.
• Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Must be of legal drinking age or older.

Pay

This role uses the tip credit system, where a portion of your pay comes from customer tips. The base wage plus tips must equal or exceed $15 per hour. If your combined tips and base wage do not meet the $15 minimum, we will make up the difference to ensure compliance.

The pay range for this role is $4.50 USD per hour (base wage).
