Bartender - Part-time

At Catbird's bar, the Bartender crafts cocktails and creates connections, mixing technical skill with genuine personality to turn a drink order into a memorable moment. Responsibilities

• Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures, and safety controls.
• Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner, maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Ring guest checks, collect cash, and process credits and room charges according to company policies.
• Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists.
• Know and comply with state liquor laws.
• Ensure established pars are maintained.
• Perform all sidework duties according to sidework schedules.

Requirements

• 6 months of bartending experience.
• Bartending training and certification (ABT) or Alcohol Beverage Training Certification.
• Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks at once, follow verbal and written instructions in English, and communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Highly organized with strong attention to sound and sight details in crowded and noisy situations.
• Ability to use tact and understanding when dealing with customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
• Ability to accurately count cash and operate a cash register.

Physical Demands

• Lifting trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc. (20–40 lbs).
• Pushing carts, Queen Marys, hotbox, portable bar (50–100 lbs).
• Carrying trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc. (20–40 lbs).
• Bending/kneeling to access lower-level cabinets and lift trays.
• Maneuvering in narrow areas and between seated guests.
• Continuous standing (100% of scheduled shift).
• Climbing approximately 12 steps (20% of an 8-hour shift).
• No driving required.

Pay

USD $16.27 per hour (part-time hourly role).
