Part-Time Bakery/Deli Clerk

Responsibilities

• Preparing bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offering samples and informing customers of specials.
• Providing fresh, correctly portioned products to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommending products and maintaining product quality and freshness.
• Using bakery equipment safely and following recipes and food safety guidelines.
• Labeling, stocking, inventory management, and documenting temperature logs.
• Assisting customers by locating products and answering questions.
• Monitoring inventory, ensuring proper temperatures, and promoting a welcoming environment.
• Adhering to safety procedures, reporting hazards, and maintaining equipment.
• Managing conflicts professionally and supporting a cooperative team environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service and effective communication skills.
• Basic math knowledge and ability to obtain a food handler permit.
• Experience in bakery, deli, or retail is preferred.
