Job Description and Position Requirements

Penn State Lehigh Valley is seeking a qualified, highly motivated individual to join our athletic program as a part-time Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. The successful candidate must have knowledge of both the required technical and tactical skills, along with the ability to communicate well with team players.

  • Assisting in all aspects of a competitive team: including recruiting; planning; organizing; and conducting team practices
  • Traveling and supervising the team at away contests
  • Coordinating home events
  • Aid in the responsibility for understanding and maintaining strict adherence to PSUAC and USCAA rules and regulations

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in all aspects of a competitive team: including recruiting; planning; organizing; and conducting team practices
  • Traveling and supervising the team at away contests
  • Coordinating home events
  • Aid in the responsibility for understanding and maintaining strict adherence to PSUAC and USCAA rules and regulations

Requirements

Coaching experience at the high school or college level preferred.

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks:

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
