Responsibilities
- Train beneficiaries on Kitchen Safety and Compliance protocols.
- Supervise daily work therapy performance, including cooking and cleaning.
- Provide regular feedback and direction to beneficiaries.
- Ensure compliance with Health Department policies.
- Create and update menus using Cycle Menu Management System.
- Maximize use of donated goods.
- Maintain kitchen and canteen inventories.
- Generate timely orders based on stock, cost, and needs.
- Source and coordinate food donations.
- Monitor canteen sales and card tracking.
- Maintain kitchen log communications.
- Execute Health Department policies and prepare for regular inspections.
- Coordinate with Kitchen Supervisor on all operations.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- ServSafe and Allergen training certifications required.
- Kitchen management experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Supervisory skills (oversee and train, not work alongside).
- Computer proficiency for inventory and communications.
- Strong mathematical abilities for measurements and portions.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
- Regular standing and walking.
- Lifting up to 15 pounds regularly.
- Occasional lifting up to 100 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for food preparation.
