Part Time Assistant Kitchen Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Train beneficiaries on Kitchen Safety and Compliance protocols.
  • Supervise daily work therapy performance, including cooking and cleaning.
  • Provide regular feedback and direction to beneficiaries.
  • Ensure compliance with Health Department policies.
  • Create and update menus using Cycle Menu Management System.
  • Maximize use of donated goods.
  • Maintain kitchen and canteen inventories.
  • Generate timely orders based on stock, cost, and needs.
  • Source and coordinate food donations.
  • Monitor canteen sales and card tracking.
  • Maintain kitchen log communications.
  • Execute Health Department policies and prepare for regular inspections.
  • Coordinate with Kitchen Supervisor on all operations.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • ServSafe and Allergen training certifications required.
  • Kitchen management experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Supervisory skills (oversee and train, not work alongside).
  • Computer proficiency for inventory and communications.
  • Strong mathematical abilities for measurements and portions.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular standing and walking.
  • Lifting up to 15 pounds regularly.
  • Occasional lifting up to 100 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity for food preparation.

Work Environment

  • Kitchen setting (warm and humid).
  • Moderate to loud noise levels.
