Part Time Assistant Coach - Cheer
Position Summary
The responsibility of the Part Time Assistant Coach Cheer is to help in the day-to-day functioning of the Cheer program. All job duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Aid in the conduct, discipline, and positive character development of student-athletes by using the guidelines and principles of the USM Mission and the NAIA Champions of Character initiative.
- Aid in the personal development and academic success of student-athletes.
- Promote the USM Mission values of community, respect, justice, and excellence.
- Coordinate the recruitment of quality student-athletes.
- Monitor and assist with the retention of student athletes based on academic performance.
- Perform coaching duties as determined by the Head Coach.
- Assist with inventory management, distribution, and collection of equipment and uniforms.
- Participate in Athletic Department promotions, fundraising, and recruitment efforts.
- Assist with the management of USM Athletic Department facilities.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2-3 years related experience.
- Able to work nights and weekends with the capability to travel.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years or older and be able to successfully complete the approved driver certification.
