About the role
Under the supervision of the class instructor, the Art Model stands in front of a drawing and/or painting class for the duration of class, which is roughly 50 minutes. This position is open to SF students, except for those currently enrolled in ART1301C or ART2501C and those below the age of 18.
Responsibilities
- Work is performed under supervision of the class instructor during class hours.
- Be punctual and record hours after each working session.
- Hold poses for up to 50 minutes.
- Comply with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
- Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be comfortable posing clothed or nude.
- Must be able to hold poses for up to 50 minutes.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Cannot be a SF student currently enrolled in ART1301C or ART2501C.
- A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred Qualifications
- Body awareness and the ability to twist, turn, bend, and accentuate the 3-dimensional qualities of the figure in poses.
