Responsibilities
- Review incoming invoices, assign the correct account codes, and enter payment data accurately into the accounting system.
- Process accounts payable transactions in a timely manner while maintaining complete and well-organized supporting documentation.
- Prepare and execute vendor payments through ACH and check runs in alignment with established schedules and controls.
- Reconcile payment details, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing or coding issues with internal teams and suppliers.
- Maintain up-to-date vendor records and assist with improving the accuracy and efficiency of payables workflows.
Requirements
- Experience working in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support function.
- Practical knowledge of invoice coding and general ledger account assignment.
- Ability to process ACH payments and assist with scheduled check disbursements.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and financial record review.
- Proficiency using accounting systems and standard business software for transaction processing.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to follow established procedures in a deadline-driven setting.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Relevant work experience in accounts payable or a similar role is preferred.
Skills
Strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting systems, and excellent organizational skills are essential.
