Part-Time Afternoon BCBA — Pediatric ABA — Lincolnwood, IL

North Shore Pediatric Therapy · Lincolnwood, IL · Today
OTHR$55–$60/hrPart-time

Part-time, hourly BCBA role designed for clinicians who need an afternoon-focused schedule that fits around existing morning commitments.

About the Role

At North Shore Pediatric Therapy, we created part-time afternoon BCBA positions for professionals whose mornings are already dedicated to other priorities—whether that’s family, education, a side practice, or personal well-being. This role is built to provide meaningful clinical work without disrupting your established morning routine.

We collaborate with you to design a weekly schedule that works for your life, offering flexibility for unexpected events like appointments or family needs. You’ll carry a caseload scaled to your availability, with the same clinical standards and interdisciplinary support as our full-time team. Supervision is integrated into your hours, and you’ll have opportunities for growth, including potential leadership paths if your situation changes.

This is not a placeholder role—it’s a real, in-demand position serving families who need afternoon and after-school sessions. You’ll work alongside BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, PTs, and mental health providers in a true interdisciplinary environment, using the Gracent Care Calculator, a peer-reviewed tool developed in-house to guide individualized, neuroaffirming care.

Responsibilities

  • Carry an afternoon caseload, conduct assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans grounded in assent-based, neuroaffirming care.
  • Provide parent training and supervise RBTs.
  • Collaborate with SLPs, OTs, PTs, and mental health providers on shared cases and afternoon coordination as a full team member.
  • Conduct intakes for the families you serve.
  • Maintain documentation and treatment-plan standards equivalent to the full-time team.

Requirements

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) license in good standing in the state of Illinois.
  • Availability to consistently cover afternoon sessions (e.g., 3–5 days per week, with schedule flexibility built during onboarding).
  • Strong communication skills—proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
  • Passion for serving children and families, particularly those with autism and developmental needs.

Who Thrives in This Role

  • Parents or caregivers who need to manage school drop-offs or family commitments in the mornings.
  • Clinicians balancing a morning consulting practice or other professional pursuits with afternoon clinical work.
  • Graduate students with morning classes.
  • Professionals who do their best work in the afternoons.

Pay

$55–$60 per billable hour, based on experience.

Benefits

  • Free in-house CEUs as a BACB ACE Provider.
  • $500 annual Professional Development stipend (pro-rated based on schedule).
  • Additional benefits (e.g., medical, retirement) available depending on weekly hour threshold; specifics discussed during the interview.

Schedule

Afternoon-focused, 3–5 days per week. Schedule is collaboratively built during onboarding to fit your availability and adjusted as needed to accommodate life changes.

Work setting: In-person at our clinic in Lincolnwood, IL.
