Part Time After Hours Placement Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking five experienced individuals to join our team as Part-Time After-Hours Placement Support Specialists. In this role, you will be responsible for taking care of youth experiencing foster care while the agency seeks placement for them. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safety and well-being of the youth by engaging them in activities, providing daily structure, and reporting their strengths and needs to social workers.

Responsibilities

• Providing guidance on behaviors and activities of youth for their health, safety, and well-being, ensuring you are within sight and sound of the youth at all times.
• Seeking help and asking questions when unsure of anything while providing care for the youth.
• Transporting youth to and from school, if available during those times.
• Redirecting youth and avoiding power struggles.
• Preparing and cooking meals with or for youth.
• Providing a structured schedule for youth, including morning routines, daily hygiene, school work, and other activities.
• Administering medication to youth as needed.

Qualifications

• Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of social work and 3 years of social work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and 4 years of social work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a non-human services field and 5 years of social work experience.
• Experience working with children is a plus.

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
• Preferences: CPR and First Aid certification, experience working with children.

The agency is seeking hourly part-time workers for 24 hours a day. Interested applicants should note their availability in their application (e.g., weekends only, evenings only, etc.). All schedules will be considered.

Pay

Hiring Rate: $23.41 per hour
