Part-Time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Primary Care Clinic (Adult & Pediatric)

Part-time opportunity for an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in our Primary Care Clinic serving both adult and pediatric patients.

About the Role

This dynamic position allows you to work alongside top-tier physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver specialized, high-level care. You'll help create care plans, lead quality improvement projects, and provide expert consultation while managing complex conditions with a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, and deliver top-notch care for a caseload of patients, either directly or indirectly.
• Collaborate with clinicians to develop and deliver patient, family, staff, and student education using effective teaching strategies.
• Engage in professional growth and quality improvement projects that drive meaningful change.
• Provide expert consultation using strong communication and change management strategies.
• Partner with nursing leadership to enhance clinical practices.
• Manage complex conditions using advanced diagnostics, disease management, and innovative patient care.
• Represent the team at local, regional, or national specialty events and consortiums.
• Champion safety, quality improvement, and cultural competence across the organization.
• Deliver age-appropriate care with empathy across the patient lifespan.
• Maintain professionalism and warmth in all interactions with patients, staff, and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.

Responsibilities (Physician Assistant)

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services under physician supervision.
• Take medical histories, examine patients, make diagnoses, and treat injuries or illnesses.
• Order and interpret lab tests and x-rays, counsel patients, and provide treatments or therapies.
• Accurately document patient evaluations, care plans, and services in medical records.
• Collaborate closely with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements (APRN)

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
• Current Missouri license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program with active certification.
• Specialty certification as required by the Missouri State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practice.
• Active Collaborative Practice Arrangement with our organization.
• 3–5 years of previous experience.
• Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Proven clinical expertise in your specialty area.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements (Physician Assistant)

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program.
• Certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Current licensure in the state of Missouri.
• 3–5 years of experience working as a Physician Assistant.
• Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Schedule

• Part-time, 24 hours per week.
• Work schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
