Part-Time Administrative Assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Edna Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center (PRC) in the College of Health and Human Development seeks to hire a part-time administrative assistant to assist with administrative duties. Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Serve as receptionist as needed for the PRC main office; greet visitors and provide information, answer main phone line, provide assistance or redirect as appropriate.
- Support and coordinate weekly seminars; serve as lead contact for conference room scheduling and technology support, set up equipment for meetings and presentations, troubleshoot issues and/or arrange for support, order meals and refreshments when needed.
- Sort and distribute mail, prepare daily mail slips for outgoing mail, receive and send packages.
- Provide assistance to administrative team members in the preparation, processing, and submission of financial forms (e.g., travel reimbursements, purchasing card reconciliations, etc.).
CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
