Job Summary
The Department of Communication Studies at West Virginia University invites applications for part-time adjunct teaching positions. Areas of need include, but are not limited to, mediated and mass communication, small group communication, health communication, organizational communication, nonverbal communication, and persuasion.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in-person or online courses in the Department of Communication Studies' undergraduate and graduate programs. Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be considered as openings arise.
Responsibilities
- Teach in-person or online courses in the Department of Communication Studies’ undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Teach large lectures courses or online courses.
Requirements
- A master’s or doctoral degree in Communication Studies or a closely related discipline.
- Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Generally, individuals with a doctoral degree are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses; individuals with a master’s degree are eligible to teach undergraduate courses.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching large lectures courses or online courses.
