About the role

Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer.

Responsibilities

  • Design and delivery of instruction for day, evening, and weekend classes.
  • Responsible for student assessment and grading.
  • Maintains adequate on-campus presence.
  • Provides timely communication with students, staff, and administrators of the College.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Spanish, or a Master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Spanish, is required.
  • Demonstrated teaching ability is the top priority.
  • Instructional experience and leadership experience at a community college is a priority.
  • Ability to use an online platform.
  • Experience or interest in online delivery of instruction, use of technology for instruction, and project-based, service learning, or inquiry-based learning will be given special consideration.

Skills

  • Experience with leadership at a community college or educational institution is a plus.
  • Online delivery of instruction.
  • Use of technology for instruction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching experience is preferred.

Pay

$875 per credit hour
