Part-Time Activities Specialist – Closes September 4, 2026 at 5:00 PM

Department: Health Promotion Center
Reports to: Health Promotion Coordinator
Status: Non-exempt; Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Lead fitness-related activities: basketball & volleyball leagues, softball, weightlifting, and other recreational activities.
• Complete daily activity reports.
• Enforce safety rules and maintain safety compliance, including whirlpool upkeep, minimum age requirements, proper fitness dress, and etiquette.
• Fulfill standard operating procedures, including emergency procedures, opening/closing procedures, transportation protocols for off-campus student activities, inventory, and mechanical operations (bleachers, dividers, elevator/handicap lift, weight/cardio equipment).
• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned.
• Advertise and promote activities and provide information on department offerings to UTTC patrons.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Computer skills working with Microsoft programs preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of fitness/recreational activities, child development, parenting skills training/education, and community resources.

Schedule

Hours will vary; occasional weekend work may be required.
