Part-Time Account Representative

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Any combination of training and experience which provides knowledge, abilities and skills in modern office clerical procedures required.
• Previous experience in cashier work and computer data entry required.

Special Requirements

• Work is repetitive and follows well-defined procedures and the general review of the Utility Billing Supervisor.
• Attendance is an essential job function.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge of computer data entry, filing, ten-key and some accounting skills.
• Knowledge of city and street directions.
• Ability to be alert, pleasant and have good communication skills.
• Ability to sit, stand and be confined for long periods of time.
• Ability to read and write in the English language.
• Ability to assist and be concerned with customer service.
• Ability to communicate clearly via radio.
• Ability to bend, stoop and lift as required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• The work is sedentary and requires the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
• Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: feeling, fingering, hearing, lifting, mental acuity, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, talking, visual acuity and walking.
