Part's Room Clerk- 2nd Shift

Pay Range: $24.38 - $25.38
Job Summary
The Part's Room Clerk is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager & Maintenance Department by processing, entering, and releasing workorder requests, recordkeeping of maintenance & facility related documents, and data entry as needed.
How You Will Make Contributions That Matter...
- Issue parts and supplies to maintenance and production employees per company procedure.
- Answering phones, transferring calls, taking call-ins, contacting emergency services as necessary.
- Performing fire drill duties, monitor sprinkler system panel and ammonia system panel.
- Inventory counting and maintenance of part numbers, descriptions, and locations.
- Perform routine computer work on various programs.
- Filling out paperwork required for documentation of deliveries.
- Keeping all work areas clean and organized, sweeping/mopping floors, taking trash out, and dusting.
- Processing stock requisitions, placing orders and filing confirmations.
- Receiving materials into inventory, communicating via e-mail when items arrive for projects.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the parts room manager.
You Are Best Suited For The Role If You Have The Following...
- A High School Diploma or certified equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing and inventory management experience in maintenance or production environment, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel), email, general office equipment (scanner/copier/fax), MP2 experience preferred and have the ability to learn new applications is required.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings and overtime assignments as required.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and components.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance process.
- Demonstrate a proficiency and understanding of systems such as safety, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and code compliance as it related to documenting procedures and developing PM’s.
- Possess an understanding of OSHA and GMP regulations.
- Strong ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Extensive planning and organizational skills.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout shift.
- The employee may be exposed to chemicals, wet, hot, humid and cold temperatures, moving machinery including forklift traffic, and noise levels exceeding 85dB.
- The employee is regularly required to work in an office, warehouse, and production environment.
- Able to walk, stand, stoop, bend, twist, climb, kneel throughout shift.
