Part Inspector
Job Summary
This is a hands-on, shop-floor position ideal for candidates beginning a career in aerospace manufacturing and quality inspection. The Part Inspector is responsible for performing visual and basic dimensional inspections on investment cast turbine blades and vanes to verify that required CNC machining, EDM, waterjet, and snag operations have been completed prior to shipping.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions and basic manufacturing documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to visually detect defects, missing operations, or workmanship issues
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing / shop-floor environment
- Basic computer skills for reviewing electronic travelers or inspection records
- Prior experience in manufacturing, inspection, or aerospace environment
- Familiarity with investment casting, turbine blades, or vanes
- Basic understanding of CNC machining, EDM, waterjet cutting, or hand finishing processes
- Experience working under AS9100 or Nadcap quality systems
- Ability to stand, walk, and inspect parts for extended periods
- Ability to lift and handle parts up to 50 lbs with proper lifting techniques
- Visual acuity required to inspect fine details and surface conditions
- Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions including noise, metal parts, and shop equipment
