Job Responsibilities
- Performs probation and parole functions, including Parole Examiner duties.
- Conducts investigations and oversight of Board-related functions.
- Analyzes inmate/applicant records for parole or discretionary release programs.
- Makes recommendations to the Board and assists with pre-release preparations.
- Compiles investigations and case summaries accurately, concisely, and according to agency policy.
- Maintains contact with agency and community contacts to ensure quality standards are met.
- Utilizes computer systems to adjust parole and pardon case summary packets as needed.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses.
- Experience in probation and parole work.
- Preferred qualifications include:
- A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, education, counseling, or another social/behavioral science.
- At least 15 credit hours in the aforementioned disciplines.
- Some experience with pre-parole investigations and/or parole examinations.
Additional Comments
