Parole Board Specialist I

Responsibilities

• Attention to Detail and Detail Oriented
• Meeting multiple hard deadlines each month and communicating with supervisors about meeting these deadlines.
• Computer usage – 100% of time
• Ability to discern the interconnectedness of information
• Follow manual or supervisors’ direction in completion of duties
• Ability to recognize "red flags" that lead to the need for further investigation
• Maintain an assigned caseload monthly
• Entry level position within the criminal justice system
• Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments
• Think critically, analyze information and search for data
• Familiar with Outlook
• Positive and helpful attitude to support the department and division as a whole
• Ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the Parole Board Support Services and the Parole Board

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
• No Experience Required
• Current or prior Department of Corrections experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
• Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Qualifications

• Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Preferred Kentucky Offender Management System database knowledge, but willing to train.
• Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Think critically, analyze information and search for data
• Familiar with Outlook

Pay

$38,093.28 Annually
