Parks Capital Improvement Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage park capital projects from planning through construction
  • Support design, bidding, and construction phases
  • Develop project scopes and objectives
  • Coverage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Review contracts, invoices, and project documents
  • Track budgets, costs, and schedules
  • Ensure compliance with County requirements

Qualifications

  • Possession and maintenance of a valid State of Florida Driver's License
  • Work a variety of schedules including compulsory work periods during special, emergency, or disaster situations.
  • Project Management Specialist 1: Six (6) years of experience in project management that includes two (2) years of experience in the area of assignment; or an Associate’s degree in a related field and four (4) years of experience in the area of assignment; or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two (2) years of experience in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Project Management Specialist 2: Seven (7) years of experience in project management that includes two (2) years of experience in the area of assignment; or an Associate’s degree in a related field and five (5) years of experience in the area of assignment; or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture or directly related field and three (3) years of experience in the design and construction of public and institutional building projects; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
