About the role
Reporting to the Parking Events Manager, the Parking Supervisor will manage day-to-day event parking and transportation at the venue, Iowa State University.
Responsibilities
- Maintain core values while working on property.
- Inspect parking lots several times throughout the day.
- Ensure safe and efficient traffic patterns for all guests.
- Assist manager with event day operations of parking lots and traffic flow.
- Assist Manager with traffic management program and creating Traffic Command Center in SOC, monitoring real-time parking data.
- Assist manager with enforcement of employee parking program.
- Ensure event day checklists are followed and completed for the entirety of the event.
- Ensure the campus is set up and lots are ready for the event.
- Report traffic incidents in lots to the manager.
- Perform traffic material/supply inventory along with parking operations.
- Perform inventory management.
- Assist the manager by gathering information to respond to guest inquiries and investigate complaints/concerns.
- Assist with the continuous evaluation and adjustment of the pedestrian and vehicle wayfinding signage program.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of previous experience in event operations or parking operations.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player.
- Flexibility to work shifts on weekdays, weekday evenings, weekends, early mornings, and late nights and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Experience working in the customer service industry is a plus.
- Must be able to legally operate vehicles.
