About the role

The Parking Services Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for customers seeking assistance with parking services. The position responds to inquiries, resolves parking issues, processes permits, payments, and appeals, and provides accurate information regarding university parking policies. The incumbent must exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and effective conflict resolution skills while interacting with customers in high-stress or emotionally charged situations. The position also maintains customer records, processes financial transactions, and supports daily Parking Services operations to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding parking services
  • Resolve parking issues and process permits, payments, and appeals
  • Provide accurate information about university parking policies
  • Maintain customer records and process financial transactions
  • Support daily Parking Services operations
  • Exercise sound judgment and professionalism in high-stress customer interactions
  • Compile data, prepare reports, and maintain files

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least one (1) year of customer service experience
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years of collection experience
  • At least two (2) years of cashier experience
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English

Skills

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and professionalism in difficult customer interactions
  • Proficiency with computers and standard office software
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn parking regulations and systems
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to research files, verify information, and complete forms
  • Basic mathematics skills

Pay

$39,930 - $43,923

Schedule
