Department: Parking • 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM • Full-time • Location: Everett City Hall
About the role
Under the direct supervision of the Parking Clerk, you will enforce all parking rules and regulations of the City of Everett.
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to identify, report, and tag illegally parked cars.
- Issue notices of violations to offenders in tag form.
- Identify and report vehicles eligible for impoundment.
- Patrol and enforce the Resident Sticker program; issue parking tickets accordingly.
- Report damaged signposts and loose or damaged signs and signals.
- Notify the Police Department of accidents and emergencies observed.
- Perform other duties as directed or assigned.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of applicable laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
- Knowledge of the geographic layout of streets, municipal parking areas, and other areas within Everett.
- Ability to keep accurate and complete records.
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public.
- Meet physical requirements necessary to perform duties.
Physical demands and work environment
- Ability to bend, crouch, reach.
- Ability to use stairs when required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work is performed outdoors for extended periods, including the entire duration of the shift.
- Subject to environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold weather.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.
Pay
$25.18 – $29.20 per hour.
