Parking Attendant MHB

About the Role

Monitors people and property on outside hospital premises. Polices parking facilities, interacts with the security department when requested. Collects parking revenues, and continuously remains alert to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, trespass, or physical violence of any nature. Prepared to serve employees and patrons of Mercy Hospital of Buffalo and Catholic Health.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol hospital premises and parking facilities
• Interact with the security department as needed
• Collect parking revenues
• Prevent fire, theft, vandalism, trespass, or physical violence
• Assist employees and patrons of Mercy Hospital of Buffalo

Requirements

• High school education or GED (some college desirable)
• Parking lot or parking ramp experience preferred
• Experience in public relations field very desirable
• Knowledge of computerized cash registers or electronic/mechanical systems desirable
• Able to withstand adverse weather conditions
• Reasonably good health

Working Conditions

• Intermittent exposure to adverse weather conditions
• Moderate physical effort required, including prolonged standing, walking, close machine/instrument work, or lifting, pushing, pulling supplies or equipment

Schedule

Full-time, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, days
