Park Ranger - Willard Beach

About the role

The City of Battle Creek seeks candidates to join its park crew at Willard Beach. Willard Beach employees are responsible for visitor safety, facility maintenance, and ensuring compliance with park rules.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors and providing helpful information about the beach.
• Selling daily admissions to the beach.
• Maintain the beach and restrooms.
• Aid in enforcing park rules and reporting unsafe behavior, hazards, or emergencies.
• Help with litter collection and maintaining cleanliness of beach areas, walkways, and facilities.
• Perform some janitorial duties.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, running, stooping, lifting up to 30 lbs, and being active for extended periods.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, both in-person and on the phone.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
