Park Ranger

Responsibilities

• Covers and assists with interpretive recreation programs and special events as needed.
• Patrols park sites on foot, bike, or vehicle to enforce park rules and regulations and promote positive public relations.
• Prepares reports on enforcement activities, recommends policies and procedures, maintains vehicles and equipment.
• Provides information and on-site support with emphasis on strong communication and customer service skills.
• Promotes programs offered by the Department of Parks and Recreation and interacts with the public including all age groups.
• Performs light duty physical tasks required for working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours based on employee availability and departmental scheduling requirements.
