Park Maintenance Worker I

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, maintenance, construction and repairs of all grounds, buildings, facilities, equipment and athletic fields within the Kirkwood Park system.
• Operates some machinery and equipment.
• Performs non-routine, special events and weekend hours.

Requirements

• Graduation from High School or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three or more years of grounds and facility maintenance work or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license or simple Class B license.
• Experience in the operation of standard grounds related equipment such as mowers, tractors, trucks, and UTVs.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances.
• Capable of performing strenuous work under inclement weather conditions.
• Able to walk up to five miles per day.
• Able to stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and crawl as needed to adequately perform maintenance of parks.
