Park Maintenance Worker - Hinckley

About the role

Cleveland Metroparks is seeking Park Maintenance Workers for Hinckley Reservation. The role involves maintaining and enhancing the Park District's facilities by performing unskilled and, as capable, semi-skilled tasks to ensure quality results consistent with Park District policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform unskilled and semi-skilled work of a routine, repetitive nature, such as mowing, weed trimming, and building and facility maintenance (e.g., cleaning).
• Conduct routine maintenance on Park Operations' building facilities and grounds.
• Make minor mechanical repairs and service equipment as directed.
• Collaborate with semi-skilled and skilled-level employees to complete construction, renovation projects, and repair work of facilities.
• Develop proficiency in the operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Keep direct supervisor promptly informed of key or significant issues and concerns.
• Carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment for oneself, co-workers, and the public.
• Respond to hazardous situations or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
• Perform related duties as assigned or apparent.
