Park Caretakers (Groundkeepers) - Onsite Interviews at Career Exposition
About the role
Precinct One has multiple opportunities for Park Caretakers throughout our various Park locations. The successful candidates will maintain grounds, amenities, trails, athletic fields, buildings, facilities, and equipment within the parks and throughout the assigned region.
Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to groundskeeping, litter and debris control, mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, tree trimming and removal, planting, and watering. The ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and tools is essential. Additional duties include maintaining and cleaning facilities, restrooms, and equipment. All work assignments are outdoors and subject to weekend, after-hours, and holiday scheduling.
Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience:
- Caretaker I – One (1) year of related experience
- Caretaker II – Three (3) years of related experience
- Licensure: Valid Texas State Driver's License
Skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Knowledge of operating groundskeeping equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
- Ability to work well with the public and staff members
- Ability to work outdoors

Pay
Salary: Up to $23.00 per hour
Schedule
Position Type and Typical Work Hours: This is a full-time position. Days and hours may vary depending on the assigned shift. Required to be available to respond to emergencies.
