About the role

The Parent Relations Director role exists at the core of a unique educational experience. Families you work with already have access to everything. What they need is someone they trust completely.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of every family relationship on campus, cultivating trust that deepens over time
  • Identify concerns early and address them with discretion, urgency, and strong judgment
  • Maintain consistent visibility during critical moments: morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, and intentional parent gatherings
  • Create and iterate on community experiences that foster belonging, advocacy, and organic referral activity
  • Facilitate ongoing, substantive conversations about Alpha's AI-driven approach with highly analytical, technology-oriented families

Requirements

  • Based in or able to commute daily to Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, La Jolla, or Los Angeles
  • 5+ years working directly with UHNW individuals or families in private schools, private equity, family offices, or elite client service environments
  • Proven ability to navigate complex, high-stakes relationships with discretion and sound judgment
  • Active, daily user of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) with the ability to clearly explain AI capabilities, risks, and limitations
  • Strong presence and communication style that earns credibility with highly educated, high-expectation families
  • Familiarity with private or independent school ecosystems, either professionally or personally
  • Availability for early mornings, late afternoons, and select evening or weekend events

Qualifications

  • Existing relationships within local private school or UHNW communities
  • Experience working with founders, investors, or tech executives
  • Track record of building communities or experiences that drive organic referrals
  • Experience in early-stage or high-growth environments where ambiguity is high
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, confident conversations
