About the role

This position is the foundation of trust between ultra-high-net-worth families and Alpha, a school reimagining the school day around faster learning, stronger mentorship, and more time for students to build real-world skills.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of every family relationship on campus, cultivating trust that deepens over time
  • Identify concerns before they escalate and address them with discretion, urgency, and clear judgment
  • Sustain high visibility at critical touchpoints: morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, and thoughtfully designed parent gatherings
  • Create and continuously improve community experiences that generate belonging, advocacy, and referral growth

Requirements

  • Currently based in or able to commute daily to Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, La Jolla, or Los Angeles
  • 5+ years of direct experience working with UHNW individuals or families in private schools, private equity, family offices, or elite client service settings
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-stakes relationships with discretion and strong judgment
  • Daily, active use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) and the capacity to articulate AI capabilities, risks, and limitations clearly
  • Commanding presence and communication approach that builds credibility with highly educated, high-expectation families
  • Knowledge of private or independent school environments, gained either professionally or personally
  • Flexibility to accommodate early mornings, late afternoons, and occasional evening or weekend events

Qualifications

  • Established connections within local private school or UHNW networks
  • Prior work with founders, investors, or technology executives
  • Successfully built communities or experiences that produced organic referrals
  • Success in ambiguous environments
  • Skills in distilling complex technical ideas into clear, assured dialogue

Pay

$100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year.

Schedule
