About the Role

We are hiring a full-time Parent Child Educator to join our Empowering Families Team. This role focuses on supporting families with children ages 0-3 through home visits, socialization groups, and health advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly ninety-minute home visits with each client (caseload of fourteen families).
  • Plan and facilitate bi-monthly socialization groups with all clients.
  • Work alongside parents to ensure completion of prenatal and well-child exams, immunizations, health screenings, and nutrition assessments, including necessary follow-up.
  • Develop and utilize integrated curriculum plans that reflect mandated elements, parental and cultural influences, and promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Operate in office, client home, and community-based settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with 9 Early Childhood Education credits.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Access to a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance to perform essential job functions.

Physical Demands

  • Sustained periods of sitting and standing, frequent talking, hearing, and use of hands/fingers to handle or operate objects/controls.
  • Occasional standing, bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Close visual acuity for activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.

Pay

The average starting salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $56,000 annually, based on skill and experience level. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available ($750 first paycheck, $1,250 after 6 months, $1,000 after 1 year).
